"The Climate Strike kicked off worldwide this 21st of September, with a great turnout."
Thousands around the UK joined in on the protest, with kids missing school and adults missing work, it’s estimated that about 100,000 people took part in London and 20,000 in Edinburgh to protest.
Jeremy Corbyn spoke at the London protest in Westminster, highlighting the perils of climate refugees, loss of animal species and increased emissions brought about by Climate Change.
He thanked the crowd for bringing this very important issue to his attention, and pledged his commitment to help end climate change.
Corbyn even took a stab Donal Trump, calling his actions “disgraceful” when he walked away from the Paris climate change accord.
The protests happened ahead of the UN summit next week that will urge countries and people to do more to reverse climate change.
